Astoria Counselling & Assessment
Astoria offers comprehensive mental health/clinical assessments for children (ages 4+), youth, and adults. This service is provided by a Registered Psychologist with Authorized Practice Endorsement, which means they have been approved by the Saskatchewan College of Psychologists to communicate diagnoses.
The assessment begins by gathering client history, including developmental, family, trauma, and medical, and mental health-related information. The client (or parents) will complete a number of behavioural rating forms, followed by in-depth clinical interviewing related to diagnostic criteria. The results will be presented in a detailed psychological assessment report, which will include any applicable diagnoses as well as recommendations to guide treatment and support.

Cognitive functioning and academic achievement/learning are not typically included as part of a mental health/clinical assessment; however, these areas may be added to the service for an additional fee.
The cost of a mental health/clinical assessment starts at $2750 and may vary slightly, depending on the complexity of the presentation. Please check with your insurance provider to determine coverage for services by a registered psychologist.
