Astoria Counselling & Assessment
We understand that families look different for everyone and that the dynamics within them can be challenging. At Astoria, we provide counselling support to deepen these connections and to strengthen communication. Any size/combination of nuclear, blended, or extended family is welcome.
During your first session, your therapist will work to gain an understanding of the family dynamics by asking questions about the relationships within the family structure, as well as gather historical information. Problem areas and patterns will be identified and goals for change will be defined. A treatment plan will be formulated collectively, and another appointment will be scheduled, in order to progress with therapy goals.
Registered Social Worker: $190 for 50 minute session
Follow up appointments will focus on healing family relationships and on developing healthy communication and connection patterns. Your counsellor will provide support and guidance by asking questions, by sharing strategies and information, and by encouraging openness and honesty. At the end of the session, another appointment will be scheduled, as needed.
