Autism Assessments

Astoria offers comprehensive autism assessments for children (4+), youth, and adults. This service is provided by a Registered Psychologist with Authorized Practice Endorsement, which means they have been approved by the Saskatchewan College of Psychologists to communicate diagnoses. If you suspect that you may have Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), or if you require updated documentation to access supports, an autism assessment can pinpoint your diagnosis and provide answers to questions about your unique functioning and challenges.

What to Expect

The assessment begins by gathering client background information, including detailed developmental history, previous school and/or work experience, and family history. The client then participates in a series of tasks, activities, and questionnaires that measure different areas of cognitive, adaptive, behavioural, and mental health functioning. Results provide a thorough understanding of the client’s strengths and areas in need of support, as well as determine whether your symptoms meet criteria for a diagnosis of ASD.

The cost of an autism assessment starts at $3630 and may vary slightly, depending on the complexity of the presentation. Please check with your insurance provider to determine coverage for services by a registered psychologist.
